Get ready for the new year with these key dates and times, school supply lists, and other information.
First Day of Classes
Here are some important start up dates for the 2025 - 2026 school year:
- Monday, August 25, 2025 - The school office is open to parents. Parents can come to the school and ring the buzzer to speak to office staff, or call the school office 403-777-8670.
- Thursday, August 28, 2025 - Grade 1-4 teachers will notify parents of students in their class by email (this does not apply to Kindergarten). They will provide the following information:
- assigned doors to meet at on the first day
- what they will need for the first day of school
- lunch time hours
- dismissal routines and assigned exit doors
- Friday, August 29, 2025 - All students are invited to a drop in Open House to meet their teacher and see their classroom between 10:30AM and noon. This is optional for families that are able to come.
- The first day of classes is Tuesday, September 2, 2025 for grades 1-4.
- Teachers will meet their students outside at their assigned doors 7:50AM -8:00AM
- Grade 1-4 dismissal is at 2:30PM. Please meet your child at their assigned exit doors.
- first day of bussing for grades K - 4
- Kindergarten staggered entry is September 2 and September 3, 2025.

Kindergarten Staggered Entry- Tuesday, September 2 and Wednesday, September 3, 2025
We will have staggered entry for Kindergarten students on the first 2 days of school. This means that half of the class will attend on the first day and the other half of the class will attend on the second day.
PLEASE MEET THE KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS AT THE KINDERGARTEN DOORS LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE BUILDING CLOSEST TO THE GARDEN BOXES.

School Supplies
Students supplies are provided by the school for children in kindergarten through Grade 4. Parents will be charged an Instructional Fee in the fall. Families are to provide indoor running shoes, backpacks, lunch, and snacks. You may also choose to send your child with a water bottle.

Learning Technologies & Student Wi-Fi
Digital technologies are transforming how we teach our students. We utilize a range of technology tools to personalize each student’s learning experience, including getting connected to Wi-Fi for seamless access to educational resources.
Off-Site Activities

Grades 1 - 4
The first day of school for Grades 1 - 4 is Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
Teachers will call families to introduce themselves and review first day procedures on August 28, 2025.
Monday to Thursday:
- Relaxed Entry 7:50AM - 8:00 AM
- 8:00AM - 2:30PM
- Recess: each grade group of students will have a 14-minute recess each day that fits with their class schedule.
Friday - Grades 1-4 attend every Friday.

- Recess: each grade group of students will have a 12-minute recess that fits with their class schedule.
