Carnaval Update - January 30 Changes

***Due to the cold weather that is expected at the beginning of the week, we are adjusting some of our plans. Please see the revised plans for Carnaval below.

We will celebrate "carnaval d'hiver" (Winter Carnival) the week of February 3. The week will be full of school spirit activities, outdoor fun and learning about French Canadian culture. You can find more information about Carnaval here: Carnaval

On Thursday we will be making our "palais de glace" (Ice Palace). All students are asked to bring at least 1 ice block for the palace. Please follow the specific instructions on this document: Ice Blocks

Volunteers

We will be needing many volunteers to help during the week of Carnaval (some positions require police clearance and some do not). Please use this link to sign up: Volunteers

Toque day (wear a toque/winter hat to school)

Hot chocolate for all students (thank you FJJSC!)

Winter Walk Day (if it is warm enough)

Wear blue and white

Friday, February 7

Dress like a lumberjack
