We would like to send a huge thank you to the following people that helped with our Carnaval d'Hiver this week: the teacher planning team, volunteers that came to help with hot chocolate, pizza lunch and in classrooms, FJJSA for providing funds for the excellent Folkofolie presentation and parents/guardians for helping their children prepare for the fun Spirit Days.
Next week, we will have warmer temperatures so classes will be able to enjoy winter sports outside!
We would also like to share that the teachers won against the grade 4 students in the hockey game! Go Teachers Go!
Brave Like the Buffalo Author Visit
On Friday we welcomed Calgary author Melissa Allan to JJ. Melissa is a CBE alumni who has written a picture book about how resilient buffalo are. She shared her story and a song with us and answered students' questions. Ask your child what they learned about buffalo or about being an author from Melissa!
Lost and Found Reminder
