Traffic Safety at Drop Off and Pick Up

The safety of our students and staff is our priority. We have noticed an increase of unsafe driving habits before and after school. Please help us keep everyone safe by choosing safety over convenience and by following these safety laws:

Snow and Ice

As you may have noticed, the field, small hill and playground areas have been very icy. Each day, our staff members assess the play area to make sure that students can play safely. Last week, we made the decision to only allow students to play on the compound because it was too icy to go up the hill to the field or the playground. Teachers and lunchroom staff supervised the students on the compound and introduced some compound games. Sometimes when it is too icy, we make the decision to keep students inside for Blue Days and supervisors provide indoor games and activities at lunch or recess time.

If you find that it is too icy to walk around to your child's designated door, please feel free to bring them to the closest door in the morning.

Hopefully the fresh snow will make the play area less icy this week and the students will have lots of fun in the snow!
