The Walk-A-Thon Was a Success!
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Walk-A-Thon on Saturday and contributed to fundraising for our new playground. The Playground Committee of dedicated parents have made so much progress already! Here is message from the Playground Committee:
JJ Family & Friends
On behalf of the JJ Playground Committee, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to support and participate in our walk-a-thon fundraiser this past weekend. Your generosity, time and enthusiasm helped make the event a great success!
Thanks to your contributions we were able to raise vital funds that will directly benefit our new school playground.
We are truly grateful to be part of such a caring and committed school community. Together, we’ve shown what’s possible when we come together for a shared purpose.
Active Travel Week Update
Mme Dianna and Mme Taylor's classes did a great job organizing Active Travel Week and encouraging kids to be active. Each day, students could put a ticket into the draw if they came to school in an active way or did physical activities at home. On Monday we will draw names for the winners of the prizes donated by FJJSA (School Council) and the class prize an extra recess!
Hello Ducklings, Goodbye Butterflies!
Last week, the grade 2 classes welcomed ducklings that hatched from the eggs they were taking care of!
Our Kindergarten classes released the butterflies that they observed from caterpillars for weeks!
Alien Inline Skating Continues
Inline skating will continue for the next 2 weeks. Teachers will let families know when their skating times are so students can bring their helmets if they have them. Please make sure your child is wearing socks and comfortable clothing. Please note: some classes missed lessons because the instructor was sick. These lessons will be made up on Friday, June 20. Thank you FJJSA for paying for this experience for all of our students!
