Hello March! As we head into Spring (hopefully), we have a lot of things to look forward to!

Safety Reminders

The safety of our students and staff is our most important priority. Please help us to make sure that only authorized people are in the school by:

-Not entering through students' doors before or after school. If you would like to come into the school for any reason, please go to the office door and check in at the office.

-Not letting people in the doors. Visitors should always ring the doorbell and speak to office staff or Creations childcare staff.

Traffic Safety Updates

We have some good news to share! As a result of our partnership with EverActive Schools and our Safe Travel project, the City of Calgary is going to do some work in the Spring or Summer of 2026 to enhance safety at the intersection of Shawnessy Drive and Shannon Close. A crosswalk and permanent curb extensions on both the north and south sides of the crosswalk along Shawnessy Drive SW and a crosswalk will be installed.

We have also made a request to the Calgary Police for an officer to come and monitor safety in the morning and after school.

Field Trips

Teachers are working on planning field trips that excite students and connect to their curriculum. If you are thinking of volunteering for your child's field trip, please make sure that you apply for Police Clearance with plenty of time.
