Remembrance Day Assembly:

We would like to say a big thank you to Mrs. Paul and all of the other staff and students who contributed to our Remembrance Day assembly. It was a moving and respectful tribute to all of the members of Canada's Armed Forces who fought for peace in the past and those who continue to fight for peace. Thank you to all of the family members who were able to join us! Please enjoy some beautiful poppy art work at the bottom of this message.

Teacher Professional Learning:

Teachers and other staff across the CBE participated in professional learning on November 8 on our Indigenous Professional Learning Day. At Janet Johnstone, we continued to build on our knowledge of Treaty 7 and the contributions of Indigenous people in the past and present. We deepened our understanding of the Land Acknowledgement and planned ways to continue to address the Spirit, Heart, Body and Mind of all of our students.
