Digital Safety:

October is Cyber Security Awareness Month in Canada. At Janet Johnstone, we have focused on making safe choices online. At this week's assembly, we explored the following questions:

  1. How do we know information online is true?
  2. How can we be safe when using the internet?
  3. How can we balance our use of media?

Teachers will be having discussions about the safe and respectful use of digital media with their classes this month. Families can check out some of the resources here: Common Sense Media . We will share our school's yearly Digital Citizenship Plan later this month.
