Attend School Today for More Choices Tomorrow!
Now that we have had 2 months of the school year, we wish to highlight the importance of daily attendance for student success. Being present at school provides valuable opportunities for learning, connection and participation in the school community. Students are expected to attend regularly and punctually. When students miss 10% or more of instructional time, approximately two or more days a month, it can become challenging for students to fully participate in classroom learning and school activities. Students who arrive late or are picked up early also miss important learning.
We recognize that various circumstances can affect a student’s attendance and we are committed to approaching these situations with understanding and support. Our school is available to collaborate with families to identify concerns, explore possible strategies, and share information about supports and resources when needed.
If your child will not be in attendance at school, we request that you call the school’s attendance line 403-777-8670, extension 2 to report their absence. If your child is having ongoing challenges coming to school please reach out to your child’s teacher.
Here is information from CBE about attendance expectations for all students: Attendance
Thank you for your commitment to ensuring your child’s regular attendance and learning.
Last Chance for the Lost and Found
On Thursday, November 5, we will package up the items in the lost and found and donate them. Caregivers can drop by the school to take a look until then.
